Serenity provides a simple and secure process for doing this, ensuring both traceability and accountability. --- ## How to Close a Finding ### Step 1: Open the Finding Navigate to the finding record in the **Findings & Actions** center. You will see the “Close Finding” button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. ### Step 2: Initiate the Closure Process Click **Close Finding**. This opens a modal window that prompts you to complete a few required fields before proceeding. ![](https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXdd5_d_cXzRc6AOkBj0xBcq6puDDB8zDNZigvaUHEcNWsCj9F6VIJXutGVodSPouayXnRa2tc1UdbrWT81dhpTv7sV_UCa9BrIu42uob1QL-deFHDogsHlt4ChtYnPUs_UF8esr2A?key=0AljBKwI0wYz67ygMJMFFpE5) ### Step 3: Provide Closure Information You will be asked to provide: - **Remediation Code** Choose one of the following: - **Remediated** – The issue was fully addressed. - **Will remediate** – Remediation will be handled separately or is in progress. - **Will not remediate** – The issue will remain unresolved (usually requires justification). - **Close Notes** Provide a summary of what was done to address the finding or why the decision was made to close it. - **Request Review (Optional)** Check this box if you would like one or more users to review the finding before it is officially marked as closed.
