The Calendar Component app requires a customer platform admin with ServiceNow Store access to accept the terms and conditions in order to allow it to be installed or updated. If the customer has not opted-in, the dependency will be shown as a red circle with a slash through it (see [solution](/serenity/docs/known-issue-missing-calendar-component-store-app-blocks-serenity-upgrades#solution) details below.). A previous version of the Calendar Component app may already be installed, but the customer may still have to go through the opt-in process to upgrade to the latest version. > [!WARNING] > **NOTE: Opting in must be performed by a customer platform admin** with access to the [ServiceNow Store](https://store.servicenow.com/store), Serenity does not have access to and can’t legally accept the terms and conditions documents on the customer’s behalf. #### Application Manager App Listing Dependencies On each App Listing there is a section for Dependencies. ![Dependencies for installing x_sehs_core, highlighting the Calendar component requirement.](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7951ec8a-9aa7-4a24-82dd-bc5d6b13dc78/Images/Documentation/ApplicationManagerDependencies.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T23%3A43%3A19Z&se=2026-11-04T00%3A43%3A19Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=wC29AHx05XkYnyA3quZV6xZoh1IZ%2BFrZZQssYOnYC3Y%3D) #### Application Install Details This screen is displayed when requesting an Install or Upgrade from the Application Manager in the instance. ![Installation details showing dependencies and options for installing the application.](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7951ec8a-9aa7-4a24-82dd-bc5d6b13dc78/Images/Documentation/ReviewInstallationDependencies.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T23%3A43%3A19Z&se=2026-11-04T00%3A43%3A19Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=wC29AHx05XkYnyA3quZV6xZoh1IZ%2BFrZZQssYOnYC3Y%3D) ## Scope of Impact - The [Calendar Component](https://store.servicenow.com/store/app/3bfaabe61b246a50a85b16db234bcb5d) app must be previously installed with a *minimum* version 24.1.6 from the ServiceNow Store in order to successfully install Serenity - Core version 7.8 or newer. - Without this store app installed, Serenity app upgrades are blocked and only a customer platform admin with access to the ServiceNow Store will be able to resolve. ## Solution 1. As a customer platform admin with access to the ServiceNow Store, navigate to the Calendar Component app listing. [https://store.servicenow.com/store/app/3bfaabe61b246a50a85b16db234bcb5d](https://store.servicenow.com/store/app/3bfaabe61b246a50a85b16db234bcb5d) 2. Click the Get button. ![A green button labeled 'Get' on a light background, inviting user interaction.](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7951ec8a-9aa7-4a24-82dd-bc5d6b13dc78/Images/Documentation/GetStoreApp.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T23%3A43%3A19Z&se=2026-11-04T00%3A43%3A19Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=wC29AHx05XkYnyA3quZV6xZoh1IZ%2BFrZZQssYOnYC3Y%3D) 1. Review and accept the attached terms and conditions document. ![Terms and conditions for the Calendar Component with acceptance checkbox and links.](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7951ec8a-9aa7-4a24-82dd-bc5d6b13dc78/Images/Documentation/StoreAppTermsAndConditions.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T23%3A43%3A19Z&se=2026-11-04T00%3A43%3A19Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=wC29AHx05XkYnyA3quZV6xZoh1IZ%2BFrZZQssYOnYC3Y%3D) 1. Validate that the app listing shows as “Ready to Install” ![ServiceNow calendar component available for installation, marked as a certified app.](https://cdn.us.document360.io/7951ec8a-9aa7-4a24-82dd-bc5d6b13dc78/Images/Documentation/StoreAppReadyToInstall.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T23%3A43%3A19Z&se=2026-11-04T00%3A43%3A19Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=wC29AHx05XkYnyA3quZV6xZoh1IZ%2BFrZZQssYOnYC3Y%3D) > [!WARNING] > **NOTE: After acceptance, the ServiceNow Store must sync with the customer instance** in order to enable installation of Calendar Component store app. You can force a sync from the Application Manager home, but this is not always immediately successful. Generally, the conflict clears within 30 minutes, but it could take longer. Contact Serenity via our [support portal](https://customer.support.serenityehs.com/) for additional assistance.
