Injury attributes in Serenity allow organizations to capture critical details about reported injuries. These fields support internal reporting, trend analysis, and compliance with regulatory requirements like OSHA.
What Are Injury Attributes?
Injury attributes are structured data points recorded on an injury report to describe how the injury occurred and what type of injury was sustained. They are commonly used in compliance documentation and can help inform injury prevention strategies.
The two most commonly used attributes are:
Nature of Injury – Describes what the injury is (e.g., fracture, sprain, burn)
Mechanism of Injury – Describes how the injury occurred (e.g., fall, repetitive movement, electrical contact)
💡 OSHA requires that these fields be included in injury documentation, but allows each organization to define its own specific terminology.
