The Home screen is your primary starting point when using Serenity Mobile. It lists several quick-access buttons (Home Actions) and a summary of items assigned to you and items opened by you.

Home Actions

At the top of the screen, you will see four main buttons to take immediate action:

  • Report Incident: Use this when an accident or injury has already occurred.

  • Report Hazard: Use this to report unsafe conditions (like a slippery floor or a leak) before they cause an accident.

  • Start Inspection: Jump straight into a new safety inspection.

  • Report Finding: Log a specific observation that needs attention.

How to report an Incident, Hazard, or Finding

  1. Tap the relevant button (e.g., Report Incident).

  2. Describe it: Enter a description of what happened. You can also tap Add Attachments to take a photo or upload one from your library.

  3. Details: Tap Report manually to fill in the specific details, such as the location, category (e.g., Injury or Physical Hazard), and the date.

  4. Submit: Once finished, tap Save or Submit.

  5. Collaborate: After submitting, you can open the record and use the Activity tab to leave comments or tag coworkers if you need them to review the info.

How to start an Inspection

  1. Tap the Start Inspection home action.

  2. Select a Template: Search for or choose the correct checklist for your task.

  3. Answer Questions: Go through the checklist items. You may need to answer "Yes/No," enter numbers, or provide text.

  4. Add Context:

    • Notes: Tap "Add notes" to type extra details about a specific question.

    • Attachments: Capture a photo or upload photos to prove compliance or show damage.

    • Issues: If a check fails, you can tap + Add new under "Issues" to immediately create a Finding or Action record linked to that specific question.

  5. Finish Up: When all questions are answered, tap Close inspection.

  6. Sign & Submit: Enter your closing notes, draw your signature on the screen, and submit the inspection.
