Getting Started

Once you have Serenity Mobile installed on your device, open the app and follow the steps below to get started.

Welcome to Serenity EHS Screen

This is the first screen you’ll see after opening Serenity Mobile. Choose your default language and click Continue. You can always change your language later in the Settings page.

Logging In

After selecting your default language, you’ll be shown the screen below. Notice that below the Serenity logo there’s a language selector which you can use to change your language.

There are 3 options on the login screen:

1. Login to Ascend

2. Register for Ascend

3. Connect to Enterprise

Option 1: Login to Ascend

Click Login to Ascend if you are a Serenity Ascend customer and have been provided a user name and password to Serenity EHS.

1. You’ll first be prompted to confirm Serenity Mobile (SerenityEHS) wants to use serenityops.com to sign you in. Click Continue.
   

   

2. On the next screen enter your user name password then click Log in

   
   

3. Next you’ll see another confirmation screen asking you to allow Serenity Mobile to connect to your Serenity EHS account. Click Allow.

   1. Note: Clicking Deny will display a note that you have denied required permissions then return you back to the login screen.

4. You’ll now be brought to the Permissions screens.

Option 2: Register for Ascend

If you’re organization is a Serenity Ascend customer but you haven’t been provided with a user name and password, click the Register for Ascend button on the login screen, enter your work email address then click Submit.

You’ll be sent an email typically within 15-20 minutes with your user name and password to login. Return to Serenity Mobile and select Login to Ascend and enter the provided user name and password to login.

Setting App Permissions

After logging into your Serenity EHS environment, Serenity Mobile will walk you through 4 permissions steps.

Camera Access

Granting Serenity Mobile with camera access isn’t required but is recommended to get the most out of the experience.

By allowing camera access you will be able to quickly add photos to inspections, actions, findings, risk assessments, and have the ability to scan QR codes.

Location Access

Next Serenity Mobile will ask for permission to use your device location. There is a geolocation feature within Serenity Mobile to capture longitude and latitude when submitting records such as EHS incidents and hazards that requires permission to use your device location.

We recommend selecting Allow while using the app.

Push Notifications

This step lets you select if you’d like to receive push notifications. Serenity Mobile doesn’t currently send push notifications but we recommend allowing this permission so you receive important safety related notifications when these are added.

Photo Library

This steps asks you to grant Serenity Mobile access to your device’s photo library. Granted full access does provide the best user experience. Serenity Mobile accessed only photos you choose to upload to the app.

That’s it! Once the above steps are complete you will be brought to the Home tab and can begin using Serenity Mobile.
