Understanding the Home Screen

The Home module in Serenity is your personalized command center. From here, you can quickly take action, track your responsibilities, and get a high-level view of the health and safety activity across your teams and sites.

This page is tailored to your role and shows only the information and tools relevant to you.


Quick Actions

At the top of the Home page, you’ll find quick access buttons for key EHS activities:

  • Report an Incident – Submit a new injury, near-miss, or safety event

  • Log a Finding – Record a hazard, observation, or compliance issue

  • Start an Inspection – Launch a checklist for routine or ad-hoc audits

  • Begin a Risk Assessment – Conduct a hazard analysis using predefined templates

  • Assign Corrective or Preventive Actions (CAPAs) – Create a task to address a safety issue or finding

These shortcuts streamline your workflow and help you capture important data in the moment.


Your Work

This section displays all EHS tasks associated with you and your groups:

  • Assigned to You – Tasks directly assigned to you

  • Unassigned in Your Groups – Group tasks that do not yet have a primary assignee

  • Created by You – Open tasks you’ve created, even if assigned to others

Each entry shows the task number, description, establishment, current state, and the date it was opened. Use this panel to stay on top of your responsibilities and quickly access your open items.

Needs Attention

Located on the right side of the Home module, this panel highlights important EHS tasks that are assigned to you or groups that you are a member of that may require immediate action:

  • Open Incidents

  • Overdue Initiatives

  • High Priority Issues

  • Overdue Tasks

  • Unassigned Tasks (no user or group)

💡 Clicking these scores will navigate you to a full list of records requiring attention.


Personalized Quick Links

Below the metrics, you’ll find a Quick Links section where you can:

  • Add your most frequently accessed pages or resources (e.g., reports, dashboards, SOPs)

  • Customize the list to fit your workflow

  • Open saved links in one click

This makes it easy to jump straight to your most-used tools.


Your Establishments

This section shows which locations (establishments) you are assigned to.

📌 If you work across multiple sites, this helps organize your view and filter information accordingly.


Team Safety Record (For Managers Only)

If you are assigned direct reports in the system, you'll also see a summary of your team’s safety performance:

  • Injuries recorded

  • OSHA Recordables

  • Total Days Away or Restricted

This data helps you monitor your team’s safety trends and take proactive action when necessary.

⚠️ Note: The Home module is personalized based on your role and permissions.
Not all users will see the same widgets or metrics — managers and admins may have access to additional data and actions.
