Inspection templates in Serenity allow teams to standardize safety inspections, audits, and checklists across facilities, zones, equipment, and processes. These templates streamline recurring tasks, ensure consistency in inspection criteria, and improve compliance tracking.
Where to Find Templates
Templates are managed from the Templates tab in the Inspections Center. This view separates templates into two categories:
Your Templates – Templates you own and have created.
All Templates – A list of all templates visible to you, including those shared by other users.
From this screen, users can view, modify, or create new templates.
Creating a New Template
To create a new template, click Create New Template. Serenity offers two options for template creation:
1. Build from Scratch
This option allows users to manually define sections and questions
2. Generate Using AI
Available for customers with Serenity AI enabled, this option uses AI to auto-generate an inspection checklist. Simply provide a short description, and Serenity AI will populate your checklist with:
Suggested sections (e.g., PPE, Emergency Equipment)
Predefined questions based on the inspection topic and suggested sections
Once the checklist is generated, users can review and edit it before starting inspection tasks.
Template Visibility & Sharing
Template visibility depends on ownership and sharing settings:
Templates are automatically visible to their creator.
Creators can share templates with individuals or groups, allowing others to launch inspections from shared templates.
This functionality supports collaboration while giving organizations control over checklist standardization.
✅ Best Practices
Use AI to kickstart templates for common inspections like safety walkarounds, chemical handling, or equipment checks.
Standardize templates across sites to maintain consistency in inspection protocols.
Regularly review and update templates to reflect regulatory changes or internal policy updates.
