Only one version of the Serenity mobile app can be installed on a device at a time. Before proceeding, ensure the Serenity app is not already installed on the user’s device—either from the public app stores or as a previous pre-release version.
Ensure Serenity admin and users verify the prerelease version found on the last step for both platforms below.
Definitions
Serenity Admin: An internal Serenity employee with permissions to add new users to the test environment.
User: A customer or client interested in accessing the pre-release version of the Serenity app.
Pre-release Build: A version of the Serenity mobile app that is not yet available on the public app stores.
iOS Installation Steps (via TestFlight)
Confirm Eligibility:
Obtain the user's Apple ID email address (i.e., the email tied to their iCloud account on their iPhone or iPad).
User Action:
Ask the user to download the TestFlight app from the App Store on their iOS device.
Serenity Admin Action:
Invite the user to the Serenity Development Group via TestFlight.
User Action:
The user will receive an invitation email from Apple.
They must accept the invitation by following the instructions in the email.
Serenity Admin Action:
Once the invitation is accepted, the admin will add the user to the Test Group for the pre-release Serenity mobile app.
If the invitation is rejected or expires, return to Step 3 to re-initiate the process.
User Action:
Open the TestFlight app on their device.
The pre-release Serenity app will now appear in the app list.
Install the app from within TestFlight.
Version Verification:
Open the installed Serenity app and log in.
Navigate to the “More” tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and confirm that the app version matches the version number provided by the Serenity Admin.
Android Installation Steps
Confirm Eligibility:
Obtain the user's Google Play email address (i.e., the email associated with their Google account on the Android device).
Serenity Admin Action:
Add the email to the Internal Testers Group in the Google Play Console.
User Action:
The user will receive an email with a link to download the pre-release Serenity app.
Follow the link and install the app directly on the Android device.
Version Verification:
Open the installed Serenity app and log in.
Navigate to the “More” tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and confirm that the app version matches the version number provided by the Serenity Admin.
